Hi, So, contacting your reps is the one of the few action items we can do and help each other do as an online community. This channel is to help each other put together our words etc for this. Also, if you have the means, consider donating to your local abortion fund. National and International services are nice, but there is more umph in contributing to your local or regional outreach groups. This channel is operating under the assumption that you already have an idea as to what is going on and you dont need things explained.

Helpful hints when writing: 1) don't copy paste a pre-existing letter. You can prob use something to start with but make this message yours 2) use phrases such as "I feel", "to me" anything to give your message that personal impact 3) Do not over think your language choice. This isn't like when you were writing an email to your professor and had to be super careful with your words. Get your points across in the language you feel most comfortable with. 3b) the exception to what I just said is cursing. Don't curse or insult

I am very disappointed and concerned about the recent draft opinion that may strike down the precedent decision in Roe vs Wade.

With this potentially leading to various state laws returning to the regressive situation where access to safe, legal and affordable abortion is criminalised. 

Reproductive freedom should be protected. I hope that you champion the causes of:

- comprehensive sexual education which includes contraception and sexual health

- the right to accessible and affordable contraception of all types

- the right to accessible and affordable abortion for any reason and at any time during pregnancy.

Do the right thing.
