Bluesky and the NPS are our signature wiki hole! It's an SCP style deal based on our "As Above, So Below" slogan. The basic rundown, is that Bluesky is an alternate reality/cognitohazard that had an access point discovered in the caverns (which dont exist irl) below Yellowstone. ok so in #stats-and-player-attributes we've been talking about how fax machine let's us buff our pitchers by dipping them in the shadows temporarily. And I've (and other peeps) have started calling that the "moon dial" - give up ten runs, get a small buff, just like how you get ten runs and the sun dial gives someone some rays. what if like, NV had the sun dial, right? and they took a ton of notes, studied the cosmology, got to work, realized there was an equal and opposite force to pull from (the Beams just didn't notice because they are all so into the sun) so envy starts work, and then... something goes wrong. universe says no, umpires shut them down. Felix comes in, sees the same thing NV does, continues their work, and gets shelled - not incinerated, because they took better precautions, but still punished. The missing factor is its not just a science thing, you need magic, and like... a lot of it. a lot of very technical magic. Bevan used NVs notes and Felix's plans to create the Moon Dial, a counterpart to the sun dial, as a way of chasing down the hole in space where the moon used to be. and then Al Pastor only gives him funding if you can play blaseball extra good because of it ig.

ok so. bevan. very strictly wizard themed. he literally is one and also lives his life to the most wizard, from vibes to clothes to food choices. comes from yellowstone which afaik makes him a park ranger as well as a wizard and blaseball player? so hes very good at balancing comfort, utility, and look. all in all. he has a very distinct and personal sense of style

so he starts to step up his civvie game so to speak. arrives at practice in nicer or more deliberately put together clothes. dresses showier than he has in awhile for things like team lunches (i imagine the tacos all hang out when blaseballs not on). and hes frustrated. cause bevan isnt showing any response. his wizard aesthetic is so perfectly on point and it doesnt even seem like hes trying. and thats because. he isnt

bevan is completely unaware of all of this. he just thinks basilio takes more time to warm up to people than other members of the team and hes waiting for basil to get more comfortable with him to reach out. anyways idk how it all breaks down but things end with all involved looking back on this with laughter and basil and bevan are fashion pals <3
